Houndstooth Flats from Solemate

When I saw this pair of flat shoes from Solemate at the department store of SM Bacoor, I knew I had to have it. I’ve always wanted to have a houndstooth in my closet. I’ve yet to acquire my dream houndstooth blazer, so this will do for now. Haha.

For P299.75, it’s pretty cheap. Solemate shoes are really priced like that. They even have buy one, take one shoes at just P499.75. Their shoes are known to have soft soles. They are very comfortable and are made for walking. I just don’t like how thin the soles feel. It’s like my feet can get wet in an instant should I walk in a damp road. But it’s okay, I should just take note of the road I’m walking in wearing these shoes. I have to make sure it’s dry and all.

Anyway, I’ve already worn this pair at work. I paired it with an all-black outfit and it gave the contrast I was aiming for. My bad, I should’ve taken a picture and uploaded it here. Maybe next time.

P100 Casual Tops and Skirts from John Brian Boutique

I got some spare money two weeks ago and decided to spend it on shopping. They say a girl can’t have too many shoes but this time, I went for clothes. Casual clothes, to be exact. I’m happy to report that I got some fab finds from this relatively unknown boutique called John Brian. The shop can be found at the ground floor of Robinsons Place Manila, just a few meters away from Wendy’s.

It was my first time to shop at John Brian Boutique. Basically, it sells cheap but trendy casual clothes. They have racks and racks of them, from tops and skirts to jackets and pants. There’s something for everyone here. If you’re on a tight budget like me, I suggest getting from their P99.95 racks. I was lucky to score three tops and two skirts from them (all very fashionable) which I can’t wait to wear!

For P500 for all five, I think it’s so sulit. The quality of the clothes I bought is quite good but not superior. For casual clothes, I think this is okay. :)

Fashionable Big Clutches Under P500!

I have shopped for a few stuff this week. As always, I was on a budget so I really made sure to find cheap items that would satisfy me and wouldn't compromise my comfort, fashion and style standards. Allow me to share with you the two cheap yet trendy big clutches I got. One was from Something Borrowed (via Zalora, a local online shopping site) and the other one was from Liberte (via Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Place Manila).

The studded, black big clutch is fun and fierce at the same time. I got it for P499. It was on sale at 50% off, the original price being P998. Zalora is a great shopping site, they always have a variety of items on sale. You'll also love their fast, seamless service. It's my second time to shop from the site and I'm quite satisfied with how they handle things there.

The red brown/beige combo, on the other hand, speaks elegance and style. I bought it for just P330. Liberte is known for its cheap yet stylish pieces, just check out their collection at all Robinsons Department Store and see for yourself.

I can imagine myself pairing the two big clutches with dresses (when I'm off to some casual event) and trousers/shorts (when I'm going to a meeting, hanging out with friends or just hitting the mall). Actually, I think I can use them in virtually all occasions. Yes, we're talking about versatility here. When buying an accessory like clutches/clutch bags, one should look for affordability, versatility, style and overall look.

'Till my next budget shopping trip, ladies!:)

Cheap and Trendy Shoes from SM Supermarket

If you haven't known yet, you can also find nice shoes and clothes at SM Supermarket. During my last grocery shopping at the supermarket of SM Bacoor, I chanced upon two pairs of really nice yet very cheap shoes. Each pair costs only P299.75. It can't be any cheaper than that!

Untitled

At first glance, these jelly shoes look like real loafers. Shoe Box (the name of the brand) really got the design and style right. I love the bloody red color of this one. I didn't hesitate to buy this pair because it makes my feet look fairer and it's also perfect for rainy days like what we have here in Manila right now. Haha.

I've always loved peep-toe shoes. These peep-toe flats are so light and comfy. The ribbon detail with black shiny metal underneath is very chic. While fitting it I could already imagine myself wearing it to work. So nice.

I dunno how long these two shoes will last (I'm calculating it to maybe a few months or more) but for P299.75 each, I think they are so sulit! :)

Shoe Sale: P749 Platform Sandals from Celine (CLN)

I was at SM Manila last Sunday night. Before joining the hubby and his family for dinner at Max's Restaurant, I checked out the shoe sale at CLN and impulsively bought a new pair of shoes. It was a beautiful pair of platform sandals at 50% off. From the original price of P1,498, I just paid P749 for it. What a bargain!

The platform sandals are in a lovely shade of teal.

the heels are actually taller than what this photo shows, I think it's 4 to 4 1/2 inches

The design is actually YSL-inspired. You know, like the picture below:

Yves Saint Laurent_Shoe_15

Both the YSL and CLN sandals have the same strap design but different heels and platforms. The materials used are also different. And while the YSL sandals are leather-y, the CLN sandals have a glossy finish. Anyway, I like my new shoes a lot. I also like the fact that they're from CLN which is known for high quality shoes. (I got my wedding shoes from CLN and I still wear them to work these days.) Did I mention my new shoes are light which makes them really comfy to wear? I think I can stand in this for hours. :)

Budget shoppers, if you're looking for new shoes, check out the CLN store nearest to your place because they're on sale until this week, if I'm not mistaken. You also won't be disappointed because their racks and racks of shoes on sale have sizes. You know the feeling when you check out a shoe sale and fall in love with the perfect pair and find out it's in the wrong size? You ask the sales lady immediately if they have your size and she tells you with a straight and unfriendly face that it's the last stock on display? How frustrating could that be? Thank God it hasn't happened to me yet in CLN. That's why I so like it there! :)
